R38 Backyard
This project was a redefinition and enhancement to the backyard of one of Bangalore’s few eco-housing spaces. The client wanted to create a space to grow their own food as well as host gatherings for small groups.
We wanted to create a melange of kitchen farming, ecology, community, and dialogue. The couple had an assortment of empty glass bottles which we repurposed to craft an ecological mural along with cob made leaves. In the veranda, we designed a seating area looking out onto a permaculture herb spiral and their kitchen garden
The redesign brought new depths of experience and enhanced their capacity for dining and hosting in a well-designed outdoor space.
